Did you know that by the year 2050 the oceans will have more plastic in them than fish? So what are we doing about it? This session will demonstrate how teachers can use structured, guided and free inquiry models to develop a grade 7 science unit (chemistry/ecosystems) that empowers students to create action plans for sustainable use of our oceans (UN Sustainable Development Goal #14).
